The high street removes Tall
23 OctI recently took an overdue trip to Oxford Street on the lookout for Tall clothing, as my local is high street is limited. What I found was startling…
New Look Tall = SHORT…ish
12 OctOh dear oh dear oh dear… Look at what I stumbled upon today at New Look?
Yes, as you can see, New Look have decided to revamp their Tall range and cut an inch off the trouser length. Oh dear!
I thought it was a one off, but the more I scrolled down, the more I noticed all of the trousers are now labelled 35″… Strange because I bought the red one’s above a while ago and they’re definitely a 36″ leg. I even measured them to double check!
This will come as a massive blow to the many Tall chicks out there, especially since New Look have done so well with expanding the Tall section.
What a set back. Guess I’ll just have to buy their tops now.
Sad times.

Why is everything racer back?
10 OctAnyone else noticed the influx of vest tops suddenly sporting a racer back? Is this a new trend that has now become mainstream?
I’m one of those people that buys vest tops in bulk. The last massive haul I got was in H&M in 2008 and they were all normal. I’ve got more graphic ones since but I’ve noticed they’re all now made in a racer back style, even throughout winter. Err what?
It makes for a very uncomfy time getting ready, I can assure you. With these styles you have to wear a strapless bra to make sure the straps don’t show… And you’re positively stuffed if your strapless bra doesn’t suit the top. Unfortunately I’ve come across this many times.
Here comes another problem…
When layering racer backs, sometimes the outer top doesn’t fully cover the one underneath… ho hum!
I managed to find some standard ones in New Look the other day and there weren’t many to choose from so I’m guessing this is a universal problem.
As we’re heading into winter it’s time for vest tops to go back to normal and permanently, or at least have the options for both styles.
